While at MWH, was in-charge of running the firm’s audit department including assurance of quality control on all audit engagements. Mathis, West, Huffines & Co., P.C. (1991 to 2005) – started as a staff accountant and was promoted multiple times to final position of Supervisory Manager and was solicited to become owner with an effective date of 1/1/2007. While at MWH, was in-charge of running numerous audit engagements from the planning stages through billing the final work product. In addition, was one of only four MWH employees who were authorized to perform technical reviews on audits, reviews, and compilations, giving final approval for their release. Gained extensive knowledge and experience in auditing and consulting with governmental and for-profit entities.
